Limitations

Test cannot be performed on clotted or hemolyzed samples,
specimens diluted by I.V. fluid or tube not filled with correct
volume.

Patient Preparation

Reasons for Rejection

Clotted sample, improper tube, incorrect volume, incorrect
labeling, dilution of blood with I.V. fluid, samples older than 24
hours.
